Community, Connection, and Healing Circles

Community, Connection, and Healing Circles

“Each community has its challenges, and the same community holds the solutions to those challenges.”

Community, Connection, and Healing Circles offer opportunities for “solidarity care”, where particpants support one another by offering challenges, concerns, experiences, and resources with one another. JUST Listening facilitators structure conversations using ICT methodology, that flows from the work of Paolo Freire, Gregory Bateson, and Indigenous “healing circles”.

We set some ground rules for the discussion and then invite the group to process challenges and concerns in a trusted environment. We emphasize the value of each person’s experience, highlight strengths, and create space to cultivate resilience. Participants leave feeling restored, hopeful, and connected.
